The Top 10 after 15 rounds will qualify for the final which will be played the following week at the usual time. All finalists will start with an equal stack and the winner receives a ticket worth €550, sponsored by MPT, to the Killarney Ladbrokes Festival in October. I can do nothing ree scheduling this final, starting stacks etc but if enough players want i can try and have the structure altered to give longer blinds etc?? Also every player in the top 10 will be texted the password a few minutes before the final starts. Pity about the starting stacks....In theory someone could play the last 5 rounds, qualify for final and have the same starting stack as people who have played from the outset. Nice 1 with the ticket for Killarney though. Bob dont worry bout that T Shirt. I will pay for T Shirt, Hoodie for you and a hat for me to eat if u win it!

Make it two hats because I'd eat mine too if that happened!

Heres a mad idea......Why not give the ticket to the winner of the league? Surely the people who played the most and performed best should be rewarded for it......The top 10 dont play off in a final at the end of the premier league!
And i would have said the same if i wasnt on top of the league......I think most people presumed this was the way it was going to work after all (If they are honest)

Anybody that asked me was told how the league would work and that there would be a final at the end of it. What has the Premier League got to do with anything?? All my poker leagues have worked on the same principle, i.e. top 10 qualify for the final, this is to maximise interest. The brucepoker league was run on a different basis but i had no say on that. The whole idea of this league was to increase Ladbrokes traffic so what on earth would have been the point having just the top 3 or 4 players playing in the last few weeks which is what would have happened. I have tried to get something done regarding starting stacks which would see the top players with an advantage but i have heard nothing back and tbh with the small numbers playing the league i can't see them accommodating us. But we'll see. Also, the final of the league will be played the Tuesday after the final round and this is not open to debate.

Ya i can see where you are coming from...In hindsight it would be a disaster if there wasnt a final at the end. I had it in my head that it was top place finish that won but a lot goes on in my head that doesnt make sense to anyone else Hopefully they will accomodate starting stacks as it will be unfair otherwise but if it has to happen that way so be it. Might also be an idea to do something along the line of a stake in the eventual winner (only if all finalists agree beforehand of course). Something like 2nd gets a 10% stake and 3rd get a 5% stake from any winnings from Killarney.....Thoughts? You planning on running a few sats for Killarney Mus?

;D Niall, seriously are u complaining? I know I only watched for 5 mins but u pulled off two nasty beats in that time. What goes around comes around they say. Feel free to point out where i said i was complaing?? And as you said you were only watching for 5 minutes. You saw me with AA in 1 hand. There were 2 limpers and i bumped to 4 times the BB. 1 caller and i took the pot down. Then you saw me push a small stack all in with AJ and he had mid pair....The books i read say thats a coinflip. Care to point out the bad beats and moaning you are talking about? No comment Bob?? Thats a first..... ;D

It denoted disappointment, and was not a moan....As in "sickened" due to the fact that i had half the chips in play 4 handed....Your feeble mind is forgiven lol and I might even root for you now to get 2 nd place in final.

I think that's a good idea if everyone at final agrees to take a small stake.
Re: stas for Killarney, i hope to know next week if they will release tickets to me. They are not putting any tickets on general sale for the event but i'm trying to get a couple for sats.

imo there should be a grand final for the league but I do think that if ladbrokes agree there should be an advantage in chips for the top few as playing most wks and consistency over the 15 wks should be rewarded. I also think it's a good idea to have a stake in a player as its always a good idea to have the feed before playing!
