Danny McHugh and Eamonn Walsh By Updates Team on Friday, January 02, 2009 7:19 PM
Danny McHugh has yet to move a chip and has exactly his starting stack of 10k at the last check. Contrasting fortunes for Eamonn Walsh however, as it transpires he was the unfortunate soul in the aforementioned hand with Oz. He is already feeling the pressure and has just over 4k.

And I'm out!
A short lived IPC main event once again for me. lost a major pot in the 3rd hand of the night against OzPoker from boards, it went like this..
Im on the button and BB isn't in his seat. Blinds 25/50 folded to me and I raise to 150 with KsJs. SB makes it 600, I figure he's doing this pretty light and I have position on him so make the call. Flop Qd10sRag, he checks and I Cbet 700, he calls. Turn is a raggy spade. He checks again and I bet 1500 and he calls. River is a brick, he checks and I value bet for 2500, he INSTACALLS with AK and Ive lost 5300 only 5 mins into the game.
Maybe I made the play too obvious, I doubt he had a read on me that early in the game. Think I played the hand ok but not sure, super call by him but I must ask him later how he made it.
Within the next hour I drop below 4k just trying to see cheap flops but not hitting. Built it up to 5k and I call a pre flop raise from early position with JJ, I check an 8 high flop, he bets I raise and he shoves. He has KK and that is that.
Anyway looks like its the cash game for me now and the side event tomorrow.
First break Enda is on 10,400 and I think Danny has 8k. I'll keep ye posted when I can.

About 30 mins left in day 1 and Danny 8ish, Enda 13ish. Haven't really had a chance to talk to the boys too much cause I'm playing cash. Up 650 so far so I nearly have the price for tomorrows side game. Anyway, I'll go back to the boys and we'll go for a few pints and prob play cash till the wee hours.
Later dudes.

Danny just got knocked out, he was shortstacked and shoved 66 into 1010, no good. Think Enda has 11k.
Side event starts at 5, myself Danny and Muscles playing so far.

How did Aiden Cullinane do in the €750 event???
Quote from boards.ie
"Also well done to Jamie Daly for coming fourth in the 750 event. Mightn't seem like a huge result but has to be one of the sickest final tables ever - Mark Goodwin, Alan Trueick, Aidan Cullinane, Mark Spellman, Jude Ainsworth, Paul Jackson, Donal Norton, Surinder Sunar & DevilFish"

He came 8th for €2,500. Also Martin Silke cashed again in Main Event for €4,000.

Also just noticed that Seamus Hoban also cashed in the €750. He won €1,000 for his 12th placed finish. I also played this event and finished a very crediatble 116th out of 124.
