Love him or loathe him? Mercurial genius or overpayed ponce? Best in the world or overhyped prima donna?
Irrespective of opinions everyone has a viewpoint on this player. With his now almost certain imminent transfer this is as good a time as any to comment on the world's most controversial footballer.

well bob .imo Ronaldo as you describe him indeed a mercurial genius.he has been nominated for numerous acolades in recent times.the trophies and medals he has won at club level in recent times are to be envied by players in mainland europe.player of the year awards on a regular basis, golden boot awards he has done it all in his 6years at man u.imo after last years summer transfer window it was fairly clear that the bernabau was his desired residence. he has added alot to the premiership and english football since arriving from sporting lisbon.all that coming from a blue fan.........................

Best player in the world??? I think most clubs would have Messi or Iniesta, to name just two, before him. He ain't going to Real purely for his footballing abilities anyway, that's for sure. Perfect club for him imo. Hope they both fail miserably.
Personally i can't stand the petulant, egotistical, spoilt diving wank*r who symbolises everything that i think is wrong with the modern elite european club football. Tahnk god, i might be able to watch premier league football next season without every debate (if you can call the inane rubbish spouted by Jamie Redknapp et al, on sky, actual debate) revolving around this prick.
As for how Man Utd will do next season, i don't care beacuase i'm no fan of that particular corporate brand name but i think in the long run, they are better off without him.

Wow, that's almost the exact words I'd have used. Is that twice in a week that we have whole-heartedly agreed? (Lets not make a habit of it) I can't stand him though I concede that he is talented. His pace and strength in the air are his best attributes. With ball at his feet he often takes so much out of it in a vain effort to 'show us' how good he is that he goes nowhere. It's his attitude that gets to me. Cantona was an arrogant b***tard, but I always had a (grudging) respect for him. I just can't warm in any way to this 'strutting peathingy' or his on pitch antics. He seems to genuinely believe that he's bigger than the club and I think he'll go on to believe that he is the Galactico! I don't think Man U will suffer at all for the loss. AF will change how they play and expect Rooney to play much more as an out and out striker next term. Any verdicts from our United fanbase?

Agreed mus...but I do like Man U supporters trying to explain how he didn't dive or how he is fouled and gets no free! Imo he should of been a window cleaner or painter with all the arm waving he does

41 views and only 3 votes. United fans obviously waiting for the official line to come out of Old Trafford before commenting. Come on lads, surely ye have an opinion of ye're own??

personally i'm delighted he's gone as i could not stand watching him whinging and crying every time a defender dared come within a foot of him, godforbid tackle him undoubtedly a very good player, but best in the world hardly. the champs lg final showed that ronaldo is not fit to lace messi's boots. it's one thing looking world class against w brom and teams of that standard but how often did he do it against the big three in prem? not very. think it was very fitting that utd fans tried to erect a statue of him in rome the nite of champs lg final but could'nt as it kept falling over ;D warning: this message may contain lfc bias

Give us a break. And what has Steven Gerrard got to do with this anyway?? Why bring him up?? Not every football supporter is obbsessed with the over hyped premiership soap opera. Why on earth does a Liverpool player have to be brought into this???
