What I meant was I did not know how many points you brought from the league. Could you please clarify if you changed the amount from 7500 to 10000 because you qualified.
Chip Counts for Grand Final. Every point scored during league = 10 chips. Also, bonus chips will be awarded to players based on their finishing position in league table.
Winner - 50,000 Runner Up - 40,000 3rd Place - 35,000 4th - 30,000 5th - 25,000 6th - 22,500 7th - 20,000 8th - 17,500 9th - 15,000 10th - 12,500
Play Off qualifiers 7,500

As for resenting having to check the figures, well im sorry. The reason all the figures are posted here is that players can spot mistakes and point them out. I dont know of any other organser who spends as much time as i do putting as much information as posisible into the public domain to ensure transparency. Yes, mistakes are made but i only have so much time to spend on administration etc and i am probably guilty of posting figures here staright off without thoroughyl checking and rechecking them etc.

When were you going to do the final calculation?... or was it always going to be up to someone else to discover the error??

I'm thinking of giving up the Claremorris game. Of coure the Claremorris players may decide to give me up first which is fair enough.
It's just too much hassle every few weeks to make it worth my while and being accused of mismanaging funds is the last straw.
As i mentioned in the previous post, i publish all buy ins, early birds etc here. Now yesterday, afer a few hours working oon the pc on various things, i decided to do a quick calculation on the GF prize pool. I came to a figure of €2,205 and posted that imediately, which in retrospect was a mistake and i should have checked it to make sure it was correct.
I also posted chip counts for the final after making what i thought were the correct calculations, but a few errors were made. Now it would have been a lot easier to keep the old points system but i felt this one is much fairer. But it's turning out to be much more time consuming and much more error prone.
Anything i have done, i.e. publishing figures and points here etc have been done in the interests of total transparency. Players rightly are p1ssd off at having to check my figures, but i'm not infallible and mistakes will be made.
Anyway, what ever happens, i've enjoyed the last few years running the game and i'd like to thank everyone for their support, advice and help over the years. All good things as they say must come to an end.

There are at least two weeks to the final. As i said did a quick calculation. I would have rechecked it again and again esp after previous incidents. And again, i repeat that is the reason they are posted here so someone can double check to ensure that a mistake isnt made. It's not ideal but can anyone recommend a better system??

With respect muscles, the better system is just not to post any points or prize pools here without having double checked them. Posting `quick calculations` is just not good enough when dealing with over €2,000 Personally I dont want to see you leave, but I do expect the prizepool and points to be calculated correctly.
