Has anyone any suggestions as to how we could impprove the Thursday night game in Hanleys?? Personally Ive lost interest in it and I would have to ask is there any point in starting a new league in the same format. I suppose it was bound to happen, its running now longer than most other pub games and i suppose the recession is playing a big part in it too. Any ideas on how to revive it? ?

Hard to know what can be done to revive things. The strucuture and buy in has been changed a few times now with no noticeable increase in numbers. What chnges could be introduced?? Make it a Rebuy, double/treble chance, short handed, scalps etc etc??

how about joining the two, claremorris and kiltamagh league. one night in mouse the next in hanleys and so on, you have avg off 14 in claremorris and 9 in kiltimagh , so joined together you wll get 23 + ,more prize money and playing different faces.maybe 40 euro with 20 rebuy/topup or 50 freezeout.well done to lads that cashed in galway.any games over xmas ?

It's a good idea but i can't see players travelling to the other town. The Claremorris lads rarely come to Kilti and with a few exceptions (keith, ragged etc), i cant see the Kiltimagh crew going to Claremorris either. On a side note i make the Kiltimagh average about 12/13 this league. last week was a one off with just 7 players (i hope)

people wont travel 2 nights a week and pay into two games ,people might travel every second week to a game of 30 plus players and a decent prize pool ?. Are the two leagues happy with avg 12/15 players a night ? and it's not rocket science if only 12 players are playing per night ,who will be in league final.if it was harder to make laegue final maybe more interesting.(not that i got into many ) just a suggeition

The monthly €50 FO in Kiltimagh usually has 30+ runners but doesnt get many from Claremorris and there is a decent prize pool. Also not all the regular Kiltimagh league players play this tourney either. Agreed. Could maybe do the league table based on a plyer's Best 5 performances etc. or something like that. 0[/quote]
