ya good idea bout doing points system like bruce league Pro's )U gain more points for winning a game that there are more players in )Fairer reflection of each individual round )should reflect the skill:luck ratio more when more players turn up ie. more player:more skill ratio Con's )The numbers in this game don't fluccuate that much anyway )A possible winner on a given lucky night (ie. more players one off) can bag as many points as a consistent points scorer on an average two nights )Places at the back end of a League can become unattainable as interest amongst casual/no hope players would dwindle leaving less points from later rounds I think it would be an interesting experiment, especially considering that there might be more casual players in summer. Like everything in this game though, it's a double-edged sword!

I like the sound of it, sure if it's not working we can change back to the old scoring system for the next league. Think it's worth a shot anyway.

[quote Sorry but there is no standard system throughout the world and no standard starting stack. WSOP ALL EPT's Ausie Millions Irish Open IPC All GUKPT Most of Big Slick events Most of Connies events Most of JP's events I don't think I've played any event in last 2 years that haven't followed this format.

I agree most main irish events follow the 25/50 structure but i have found that most new players gretaly preferred the big stack with the larger denominations. Actually WSOP blinds start 50/100. Big Slick current IPT events start 50/100. Most big events also introduce antes. Starting stacks can vary wildly depending on length of tourney, blind timeframes etc.

I agree that we should have 25/50 blinds and 10k or so starting stack. Also the Bruce points system would be well worth a try, it is fairer in my opinion.

Didnt get a chnace to ask players night. So, i suggest we go back to old system for next week and then ask players which they prefer??? Many don't post here but are netitled to their say.
So, how about 7,000 start stack which is 140 bb's as opposed to 125 bb's currently. 500 early bird chip, + optional 1,500 early bird chips as per usual. That gives a starting stack of 175 bb's as opposed to 160 currently. Mighty value for a €30 buy in. Well???

Bob, I think you should give us a pre-match preamble, like a run down on all the players and how you see the game playing out.
Are you doing the live updates tonight?

Planning on going in for the start, might head home early though. Can do updates until someone gets knocked that's interested in taking over. Have ur Laptop set-up, Eamo in case I'm tight for time
