Round 3 Results: 18 Runners* Sickest final table in history for bad beats, suck outs and general madness i have ever witnessed. Bob, if you were at it, you would have walked it. I dn't know where to start...over you to Eamon...you should be ashamed of yourself! Mind you it was also the most enjoyablei have ever dealt until it got heads up between Eamon and Danny. Would like to hear more. I notice that the name of one Polo Express wasn't on the final table so the usual culprit cannot be blamed. I assume there weren't any dealer mistakes as Musc found dealing so pleasurable for once! Wondering if the clock was stopped for HU as Musc found this so boring! Finally, am depressed as hell with this recession as I have had to cut out the poker for the time being!

How long or how late did the HU go on?? I hate the way generally players just want to fire them all in every hand when it gets to heads up. You play all night to get to this spot so players should take as long as they want. Personally i find HU the most enjoyable part of the game

It was some craic alright, I monged everyone I possibly could! Started off when I shoved with A8 and Scratchy called with AJ, flop brings a J and no help for me. Two cards remaining and I need to hit two of the remaining three 8's to survive, turn 8, river 8! Think it's one of the worst bad beats I've ever given! ;D
A little while later I shove again, this time with the almighty 10 7, Fingers calls with the KJ and flops his J, I need runner runner again to survive. Turn 10, river 7! ;D
Three handed, myself, Joe and Danny left. Danny shoves utg and I re-shove with 99, Joe with the big stack calls with AK, Danny shows 4 5. Joe flops his A, no help for me and Danny has a gutshot, Turn 9 and I start my victory dance, River 3 to fill Dannys gutshot!
Think the heads up lasted 20-30 mins and we only saw 2 flops. Blinds started at 15k/30k, I started with ~150k and Danny started with ~450k. Final hand I shoved with A5 and Danny called with 66 I hit my A and Danny hits his 6. It was just one of those nights!

* Only 11 players and where was Eamon you ask?? Good question. Two hands in and a Kiltimagh player knocks him out. How embarrassing for Claremorris!! ;D In fairness to him, when it was heads up, he let out a few half hearted 'Up the Coilltes' shouts.

Prize pool to date: €1,266
Kiltimagh will be updated tomorrow, Sorry, i hadnt realised it wasnt up yet.
Re rankings, the change in the cash game in hanleys forced a rethink on my plans for this and propsed prizes etc. for the winner. When i get a chance i'll try and get it updated asap but its not exactly a priority at the moment.

there comes a time in every poker players life when he has to admit that he has been outclassed by his opponent. this is my time. after eamonn making it 3 wins in a row last night I have to admit that he is a far superior poker player than me. for 3 years now we have battled it out together in hanleys and I have to say that overall he has the beating of me. if I am to be honest, deep down I always knew he was better than me but his recent displays have just been out of this world. I mean, 3 wins in a row is just a magnificent display of poker ability. just to clarify, this is not a wind-up. I am being totally honest here, the man is just a poker machine. just to prove my confidence in him I have decided that if I win a seat in to this years irish open, I am going to ask eamonn to play in my place and all I ask in return is 10% of the action. even if I don’t win a ticket I think that we should all put a few euro together and pay for his entry. when you think about it, it really would be a good investment. what do you think muscles? finaly eamonn, I would just like to say congrats and well done. you really are at the top of your game and I genuinely think that 2009 could be your year.

Jeez Danny I don’t know what to say! That was the last thing I expected you to came out with! I thought you were taking the p!ss at the start. It was just luck really, but it’s a great feeling alright when you go on a winning streak. Re your suggestion about the Irish Open, don’t be daft. There’s no way I would allow that to happen, but thanks for the vote of confidence anyway. Jeez you’ve embarrassed me now.
